Sufi singer Kailash Kher along with eight band members launched his fourth album ‘Rangeele' on his own music label ‘Kailasa Records’.  The album consists of 11 songs, all penned, composed and sung by Kher himself. He said, “This album is extremely special for me for various reasons. Among the most powerful being that the artistes featuring in this album also include the unbelievable Mr Amitabh Bachchan. It also features my two-year-old son Kabir and is the first album on our own record label, Kailasa Records. Rangeele is my gratitude to all my listeners since this is a reflection of my observation of my fans through my eight years of career journey. I have tried to reciprocate the love and goodness they have extended to me and my band.”
Along with the music album, Kailasa Records has also created videos for three tracks- Rangeele, Tu kya Jaane and Yaada Teriyaan while the videos of other songs are in production. The label plans to have at least nine music videos for this album. In order to promote, Students of Journalism and media across the nation will be invited to make a video for the selected track, which will be uploaded on Kailash Kher’s YouTube channel and the winner will be selected by online voting.
Saregama India business head-music Adarsh Gupta said, “Kailash has this rare touch of marrying tradition with innovation in his compositions.  His lyrics and his voice have continued to charm people across the world and created immense fan base for him. We, at Saregama India, are extremely pleased to collaborate with him to unveil his fresh new music, ‘Rangeele’ this year. We believe his listeners will have as much pleasure listening to this as much we had in creating this.”

Indian Ocean are an Indian rock band formed in New Delhi in 1990. They are considered to be the pioneers of fusion rock genre in India. Susmit Sen, Asheem Chakravarty, Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam formed the most stable and successful line-up in the band's timeline. This line-up lasted till Asheem's death in 2010. It left a void for which the band has so far not made any official replacement. This leaves Sushmit as the only original member in the band. Sushmit and Rahul are the only members who have appeared on the band's debut album Indian Ocean.

The musical style of the band can be at best classified as fusion music. Some music critics describe the band's music as "Indo-rock fusion with jazz-spiced rhythms that integrates shlokas, sufism, environmentalism, mythology and revolution".

Recently, the band has moved against the lines of record labels. They released their latest album 16/330 Khajoor Road online for free. The main reason for this move was the frustration over negotiating contracts with record companies and fighting over copyright issues. They have turned to concerts and sponsorships for generating revenue rather than playing in the hands of record labels. For a brief amount of time they had the sponsorship of Johnnie Walker. All the members hold a great passion for the social work. They are also a part of the world's first Music Personalisation Initiative named DRP  as one of the five 'Featured Artists'.
